This document describes how to sign up for a personal InfoEx account of the website of the Canadian Avalanche Association.

Background

Everybody who would like to access the InfoEx and contribute to the exchange is required to have a personal InfoEx account with the Canadian Avalanche Association. Avalanche safety operations subscribing to the InfoEx can then give individuals access to their InfoEx subscription by linking the individuals' accounts to their operation. See Adding users to your operation for more information in this topic.

The practice of individual user accounts is different from the approach taken during previous years where subscribers were encouraged to only maintain a limited number of user accounts. The reason for changing this practice is that individuals accounts offer new possibilities for ensuring the safety of the data submitted to the InfoEx.
