How to disable Google Chrome auto-update

Step-by-step description

PC

  1. Open Google Chrome
  2. Type 'chrome://plugins/' into the address bar of Google Chrome
  3. Find the plug in 'Google Update' in the list
  4. Click on the 'Disable' hyperlink to disable this plugin. After you clicked the hyperlink, the row will go grey and the hyperlink will change to 'Enable'.
  5. Restart your Chrome browser for changes to take effect.
